Well, the day regretfully is here. Alan has just boarded Flight QF41 SYD-JKT and is about to take off in 10 more minutes. Alan and I got up this morning after spending all day yesterday packing feverishly for him and packed some more! Alan's Mum and Dad then picked us up and we went to Brighton-Le-Sands to have breakfast with Beth and George (sister and her boyfriend) and Nick (best friend).
We then took him to the airport where we proceeded to pay squillions of dollars in excess luggage, (I don't know how happy Alan was to schlep our coffee machine to Jakarta but when I get there and make his morning cup of coffee, he will be glad he did!) and then it was time for him to head off. Being the big baby I am, I had a big cry twice and now at home about to go onto the balcony to see his plane take off. Best be off, love to all.
